About the project
Sigüenza Cathedral, a jewel of Spanish Gothic art, underwent specialized conservation work due to severe deterioration that centuries had caused to different architectural elements. The ogival windows with Gothic tracery lattices showed a high degree of deterioration, especially those facing north, where the sandstone was severely affected by erosion and humidity.
Our work included the manufacture and replacement of architectural elements faithfully following the original 13th-century designs, respecting medieval stonemasonry techniques and using stones compatible with the originals.
