About the project

León Cathedral, one of the most resplendent jewels of European Gothic art, known as the 'Pulchra Leonina' for its extraordinary beauty. At Camar, we received the commission to create exact replicas of two sculptures originally located on the Cathedral's façade and which have been preserved for years inside the Cloister.

Using our 3D Scanning Service for sculpture, we performed high-precision scanning of the Elder Simeon and John the Evangelist, masterpieces sculpted between 1290 and 1295. This project allows the originals to be preserved while exact replicas are displayed, keeping the cathedral's artistic legacy alive for future generations.
