About the project
The horse is used in many cultures and mythologies as a symbol of power, grace, beauty, nobility, strength and freedom. These values are reflected in this beautiful fountain, where the horses majestically cross the waterfall.
Installed as an exterior decorative element of Villa Ricotta, the fountain consists of three horse sculptures: two lateral ones made in white Caliza Paloma and the central one in Emperador Dark. The lower pool that collects the water is made of Crema Marfil with a bush-hammered finish.
For its execution, a clay model of each horse had to be created. Once approved by the client, they were scanned using 3D scanning techniques for sculptures and subsequently carved with 5-axis CNC. Finally, they were finished and hand-polished by specialized artisans.
